{"id":140677,"date":"2025-05-29T06:11:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T06:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/140677\/"},"modified":"2025-05-29T06:11:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T06:11:09","slug":"inverclyde-hip-hop-dance-superstars-are-crowned-world-champions-in-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/140677\/","title":{"rendered":"Inverclyde hip hop dance superstars are crowned world champions in USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YOUNG dancing\u00a0super stars from Inverclyde have come home from the USA as hip hop world champions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk\/local-news\/gourock-news\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Gourock;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Gourock<\/a>-based DM Diamondz entered their own teams for the first time in the international\u00a0Allstar Cheer and Dance World Championships in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>The hip hop senior sensations\u00a0went on to take the\u00a0world stage by storm finishing in first place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read more<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They are the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Inverclyde;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Inverclyde<\/a> based dance school to send their own teams to the finals &#8211; and also had a second reason to celebrate when the\u00a0jazz team finished third.<\/p>\n<p>And their triumph has earned them messages of congratulation from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Emotional dance coach Ann Marie Campbell said: &#8220;I am so, so proud of the girls &#8211; not only for their achievements but for their hard work and the way they conduct themselves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is just as important to go out there to make friends and meet people from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Team Hip Hop (Image: George Munro) &#8220;I always say to them it is more important to respectful of everyone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My dad used to always say that if you dream it, you can do it and your just have to push yourself hard enough. That is something that I always pass on to the girls, it is about hard work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added: &#8220;We could see that it was coming together, the girls were just getting better and better. But we couldn&#8217;t believe it when their names were announced.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it is very special to go to the USA and come out on top.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(Image: George Munro)<\/p>\n<p>DM Diamondz showed off their first class moves in both\u00a0hip hop and jazz.<\/p>\n<p>Top performer Hayley Casement, aged 19, led the teams and was joined in both by her 14-year-old sister.<\/p>\n<p>Hayley, who studies sports science, said: &#8220;I have been dancing with DM Diamondz since I \u00a0since I was two years old. It was an incredible achievement to go out there as a team and win.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have been before with Team Scotland, but it was great to represent DM Diamondz.<\/p>\n<p>(Image: contributed)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have all danced together for such a long time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We worked so hard and it was amazing to go to the USA and be hip hop champions. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>(Image: contributed)<\/p>\n<p>The top DM Diamondz squad in Florida were Eva McKenzie, hip hop; Skye McCabe, hip hop and jazz;\u00a0Lucie Bradley, hip hop and jazz; Hayley Casement, hip hop and jazz; Emma Armstrong, hip hop and jazz; Brooke Kelly, hip hop and jazz; Ava Casement, hip hop and jazz; Eva Campbell, hip hop and jazz; Leah Greive, hip hop; and Eve Small, jazz.<\/p>\n<p>DM Diamondz dancers of all ages have qualified for\u00a0Team Scotland for several years now.<\/p>\n<p>But this year dancing school coach Ann Marie decided to train her own hip hop and jazz teams, taking them to the very top.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"YOUNG dancing\u00a0super stars from Inverclyde have come home from the USA as hip hop world champions.
