Coco Gauff is comfortably into the second round of the French Open after defeating Olivia Gadecki in round one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Venus Williams loves Gauff\u2019s passion<\/a>, with the latter currently chasing a second career Grand Slam title at the French Open.<\/p>\n

She clinched her first and only such title to date back in 2023, with Gauff<\/a> defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open final.<\/p>\n

Gauff thinks Carlos Alcaraz will win the French Open<\/a>, where the WTA<\/a> number two has earned a meeting with Tereza Valentova.<\/p>\n

The Czech teenager made it through qualifying to reach the Roland Garros main draw before beating French player Chloe Paquet in round one.<\/p>\n

Former Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki<\/a> has now shared her take on Gauff, who said on TNT Sports: \u201cIt didn\u2019t seem to rattle her [that she forgot her rackets] early on.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe played consistently, aggressively. Her opponent could not rattle her yesterday. Coco was doing everything better. It was a pretty straightforward win.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she has the \u2018easiest draw\u2019. A lot of the seeded players on her side have fallen out already and a lot of the ones left are the ones who haven\u2019t shown the best form going into this tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Gauff did indeed forget her rackets for the match, which has led to plenty of jokes on social media about the world number two.<\/p>\n

After forgetting his rackets at Indian Wells earlier this year, fellow American Frances Tiafoe joked on his Instagram story<\/a>: \u201cCoco Gauff you gotta get more professional, I\u2019d never do something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

And she replied on her Instagram story<\/a>: \u201cCan\u2019t believe I\u2019m in the same stat line as Frances Tiafoe smh [shaking my head],\u201d with their compatriot Chris Eubanks also getting in on the act on X.<\/p>\n

Former professional Chris Evert<\/a> meanwhile was also on hand to discuss Gauff\u2019s latest victory, in which she beat Gadecki 6-2, 6-2.<\/p>\n

Replying to Wozniacki\u2019s evaluation, legendary figure Evert said: \u201cI agree about the draw. \u201cI like the way that Coco is hitting her forehand. I am always looking at her forehand and serve. Her forehand she is hitting through the ball now, she is landing on her front foot. It is more consistent than we have seen in a while.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe serve is still a little question. She had eight double faults. She is going to have to iron that out. But all in all, despite the wind, she did the best she could.\u201d<\/p>\n
