Magda Szubanski was born in Merseyside in 1961 before she moved to Australia with her family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The actor is known to fans for her role as the farmer\u2019s wife Esme Hoggett in the 1995 movie Babe. The 64-year-old reprised her role for the 1998 sequel: Babe: Pig In The City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Magda is also renowned for her role as Sharon Strzelecki in Australian sitcom Kath And Kim and voiced Miss Viola in Happy Feet. She has taken to <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/instagram\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Instagram Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram <\/a>to share the sad news she she has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">She told her 275,000 followers: &#8220;Lovelies. Well. Some not great news. I\u2019ve been diagnosed with stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma\u2014a rare and fast-moving blood cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;It\u2019s serious, but I\u2019ve started one of the best treatments available (the Nordic protocol), and I\u2019m lucky to be getting absolutely world-class care here in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;I won\u2019t sugar-coat it: it\u2019s rough. But I\u2019m hopeful. TBH, I\u2019ve been feeling pretty ratshit for ages. So I asked for extra bloods and &#8211; voila!<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;So the take away is &#8211; get tested and listen to your body! For now, just know I\u2019m in good hands, good spirits\u2014but I reserve my yuman right to be a cranky old moll.
