{"id":141391,"date":"2025-05-29T12:31:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T12:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/141391\/"},"modified":"2025-05-29T12:31:08","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T12:31:08","slug":"south-yorkshire-mental-health-text-support-scheme-launched-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/141391\/","title":{"rendered":"South Yorkshire mental health text support scheme launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A new service has been launched in South Yorkshire offering urgent mental health support by text message.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The partnership between NHS South Yorkshire and digital mental health service Shout, created by the Mental Health Innovations charity, will offer free support 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The charity said it would help patients access anonymous and confidential help without having to wait for a face-to-face or telephone appointment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">NHS South Yorkshire chief medical officer Dr David Crichton said: &#8220;We know that some people are uncomfortable seeking face-to-face support for mental health issues, so the option to have a text conversation encourages more people to reach out for help.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new service has been launched in South Yorkshire offering urgent mental health support by text message.
