3<\/p>\n The man was filmed by another passenger after allegedly shouting that the plane was ‘going to crash’Credit: Supplied 3<\/p>\n Passengers cheered when three police officers finally managed to detain the manCredit: Supplied<\/p>\n The brute – who passengers say was drunk – was led away in handcuffs after appearing to strike a cabin crew member in an hour-long fit of rage, which left air hostesses in tears.<\/p>\n Flight attendants even attempted to use a \u2018restraint kit\u2019 to subdue the holidaymaker, but were unable to bring him under control even after the plane had landed.<\/p>\n It forced terrified crew members to scream for help while 220 passengers, including young kids, watched on.<\/p>\n Dramatic clips obtained by The Sun shows the mayhem unfold as cabin crew frantically run through the aisles pleading for the emergency services.<\/p>\n Read more about airline fights<\/p>\n A witness told The Sun: \u201cIt all kicked off just before 1am as we were landing in Birmingham<\/a> from Las Palmas.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen they slammed the brakes, he was shouting that the plane was going to crash. He started shouting at the hostesses and got up to go to the toilet compartment.<\/p>\n \u201cThe stewardess told him to sit back down, which he did, but then he got back up for the second time and went to the same place.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a lot of screaming and shouting between him and the crew, and then he punched an air hostess in the nose.<\/p>\n \u201cOne minute he was calm, then he was throwing blows. He was extremely erratic.\u201d<\/p>\n A number of passengers tried to intervene to help the air hostesses as the situation became violent.<\/p>\n The witness continued: \u201cAir hostesses were screaming for police<\/a> in panic – they were shook up and crying.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople had to tell them to stop screaming because it was scaring the kids – it was a nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n Clapping and cheering rang through the plane after West Midlands<\/a> Police officers finally got onboard.<\/p>\n A witness told The Sun: \u201cThe intoxicated guy put his hands up and said, ‘Arrest me’.<\/p>\n “But then he resisted arrest.”<\/p>\n The drunk male was forced down onto other passengers by cops who quickly surrounded and cuffed him after he resisted arrest.\u00a0<\/p>\n The drunken yob was finally led away from the aircraft in handcuffs and chucked in a police van before passengers were able to exit, an hour after the ordeal began.<\/p>\n We previously revealed how a British woman was dragged off a flight after allegedly assaulting passengers<\/a> and “making a bomb threat”.<\/p>\n And last year a “flight from hell” did a U-turn after just 36 minutes in the air, when a “mass brawl” broke out between holidaymakers.<\/a><\/p>\n TUI and West Midlands<\/a> Police were asked to comment.<\/p>\n![\"Police](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/flightmare-shock-moment-drunk-passenger-998966292.png\")
