King Charles emotional meeting with William as royal admits he \u2018missed his brother\u2019<\/p>\n

King Charles and Prince William are still furious at Prince Harry for his \u201cbetrayal\u201d as they continue to ignore the estranged royal\u2019s pleas for a reconciliation.<\/p>\n

According to reports, William has no place for Harry even if the monarch secretly hopes for some sort of reconciliation with his darling boy, Harry.<\/p>\n

Given the current rift between the brothers, it\u2019s a hard to imagine a time when the two shared a very strong bond together. There was also a time that Charles had to step in as William had a hard time adjusting and he missed Harry dearly.<\/p>\n

The former press secretary to King Charles, Colleen Harris, recounted the time when William had joined St Andrews University in 2001 via Robert Lacey’s book, Battle of Brothers.<\/p>\n

At the time, the 19-year-old was \u201creally nervous when he arrived\u201d especially since he was under constant scrutiny of the media.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the press were there \u2013 cameras from all over the world \u2013 and it suddenly hit him. He was very unsteady for a while after that,\u201d Harris explained.<\/p>\n

He was also groped by a female fan during an outing which did not help with the situation. And things did not improve for a long time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the term progressed, the winter weather soon grew cold, grey and austere, and he found it difficult to make new friends,\u201d the author wrote. \u201cHe missed his brother too.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Charles intervened when William expressed his desire to transfer to another university. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think I was homesick. I was more daunted,\u201d William said about his time. \u201cMy father was very understanding about it and realised I had the same problem as he had probably had.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cWe chatted a lot and in the end we both realised\u2014I definitely realised\u2014that I had to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Prince Harry had revealed in his BBC interview that the King is not speaking to him due to his legal appeal for security. He also stated, \u201cI would love reconciliation with my family. There\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although, according to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, it is \u201cextremely unlikely\u201d that the King would meet his estranged son as he has \u201cdestroyed any trust with his public airing of grievances in his security dispute\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, there is a paper-slim chance that Harry might be able to win back his father\u2019s trust.
