Two people have been arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter after a pensioner who was allegedly attacked outside a Midlands Lidl died.<\/p>\n
The 71-year-old woman has sadly passed away following an altercation outside the supermarket in Stourport’s Vale Road<\/a> some time between 4pm and 8pm yesterday, May 28.<\/p>\n Four people, including the victim, were said to have been involved in the incident which also saw a 65-year-old man injured.<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/strong> Man and woman in 60s arrested after ‘GBH outside Midlands Lidl’<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n West Mercia Police said earlier today that a a 62-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n However, following the woman’s tragic passing, they’re now being held on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.<\/p>\n The latest statement from the force reads: “Sadly, the 71-year-old woman involved in the incident outside of Lidl<\/a> in Stourport yesterday has since passed away.<\/p>\n “The 62-year-old woman and the 67-year-old man who were arrested following the incident have been further arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.<\/p>\n “Enquiries remain on-going surrounding the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n “We would ask the public to refrain from speculating online and respect her family\u2019s privacy at this difficult time.”<\/p>\n The force previously said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following an assault outside of the Lidl<\/a> in Stourport<\/a> on Vale Road, between 4pm and 8pm yesterday.<\/p>\n “Four people were reportedly involved in the altercation.<\/p>\n “A 65-year-old man and 71-year-old woman were allegedly assaulted. They all then left the area.<\/p>\n “A 62-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody.<\/p>\n “Officers are now appealing to the public for information.”<\/p>\n
