Rudy\u2019s Pizza Napoletana is set to bring its celebrated Neapolitan pizzas to Bristol, with plans confirmed for a new restaurant in the heart of the city this summer. The new venue will take over the long-vacant former Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Baldwin Street, which has stood empty since 2021.<\/p>\n
Spanning 3,000 square feet, the site will accommodate 120 diners inside, with an additional 35 seats available outside \u2013 a welcome feature for the warmer months. The arrival of Rudy\u2019s will also create up to 40 new jobs in the local area, with roles across management, front of house and pizzaiolo positions.<\/p>\n
Recruitment is already underway, and the award-winning employer plans to host recruitment days ahead of the official opening.<\/p>\n
Sign up to receive our What’s On in Bristol newsletter<\/a> for all the latest on things to do and places to eat. <\/strong>Founded in Ancoats, Manchester in 2015, Rudy\u2019s has built a cult following for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas, made using traditional techniques and ingredients sourced directly from Naples.<\/p>\n The Bristol opening marks the brand\u2019s 34th site across the UK, under the ownership of hospitality group Mission Mars, which also operates venues including Albert\u2019s Schloss and Albert Hall. Neal Bates of Rudy\u2019s said: \u201cWe cannot wait to re-open the doors of this previously unloved site in Bristol and share our passion for Neapolitan pizza with future Rudy\u2019s lovers in the city.<\/p>\n “With its energetic city centre, rich culture, and thriving food scene, Bristol feels like a perfect fit for us. We\u2019re excited to join the incredible restaurants and bars already here and become part of what makes this city so special.\u201d Rudy\u2019s pizzas are made fresh daily using Caputo \u201800\u2019 flour and fermented for at least 24 hours. Ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes grown next to Mount Vesuvius and fior di latte mozzarella are central to their recipes.<\/p>\n The pizzas are cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven for about 60 seconds, resulting in a light and airy crust, or cornicione.
