Mail\u2018s Chris Wheeler has revealed<\/a> that \u2018his agent held face-to-face talks with Al-Hilal at a hotel in Riyadh on Thursday night over a mega-money deal for the United captain\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>It is noted that \u2018the fact his representative travelled to Riyadh is an intriguing twist\u2019, especially considering \u2018talks at the Four Seasons hotel are believed to have continued late into the night\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The report also revealed the overall package could be worth around \u00a3300m.<\/p>\n<p>Wheeler adds:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Al-Hilal are prepared to effectively quadruple Fernandes\u2019 salary of \u00a3280,000-a-week by increasing it to \u00a3700,000 tax-free as part of a package worth up to \u00a3200million over three years including bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018If he agrees, the club are ready to issue the paperwork on a contract worth around \u00a365m-a-season and make a formal approach to United with a bid in the region of Fernandes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the manager\u2019s point of view, he\u2019ll want him to stay because he\u2019s a big part of his squad and the player they can build the team around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it\u2019s still very much up in the air and it\u2019s become the subject of plenty of speculation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve been speaking about it behind the scenes and what they\u2019re saying is, they want him to stay, but everybody has a price.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf somebody comes in with a ridiculous offer for him, the \u00a380-100million range which has been spoken about, then it will be difficult to say no.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe financial situation they\u2019re in after missing out on Europe means big-money offers will tempt them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf something like that comes in, then
