{"id":143770,"date":"2025-05-30T09:42:12","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T09:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/143770\/"},"modified":"2025-05-30T09:42:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T09:42:12","slug":"politics-live-nigel-farage-unveils-major-policy-in-bid-to-boost-brexit-britain-politics-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/143770\/","title":{"rendered":"Politics LIVE: Nigel Farage unveils major policy in bid to boost Brexit Britain | Politics | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/nigel-farage\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nigel Farage<\/a> held up a copy of Reform UK&#8217;s proposed &#8220;Crypto Assets and Digital Finance Bill&#8221; at the conference.<\/p>\n<p>He said the draft legislation would slash the capital gains tax rate on digital currency to 10%, create a \u201cbitcoin digital reserve in the Bank of England\u201d and make it illegal for banks to debunk customers who use cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The Reform UK leader said: &#8220;We will campaign for this and we&#8217;ll pout it in place when we win the net general election.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Seven million people in Britain have got crypto assets, one in four people under 30 have got crypto assets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And yet our outdated Labour and Conservative governments have done nothing in this space at all.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What I want to do when we win the next election is bring us into the 21st century.
