Renee Zellweger<\/a> and Ant Anstead have been forced to quash split rumours in a rare statement about their relationship.<\/p>\n The American Bridget Jones<\/a> icon, 56, began dating British TV star Ant, 46<\/a>, in April 2021 after meeting on set of his show Celebrity IOU: Joyride.<\/p>\n From there, romance flourished, with Ant having recently settled his divorce<\/a> from ex-wife Christina Haack, with whom he shares a five-year-old son, Hudson.<\/p>\n Renee and Ant have remained fiercely private when it comes to their love lives<\/a>; however, they\u2019ve now hit back at speculation that they are living separately.<\/p>\n On Thursday, the Daily Mail<\/a> claimed the Oscar-winning actress<\/a> and motor specialist personality had been \u2018living apart for the past year\u2019.<\/p>\n They also alleged that Ant has been staying at the home of Julia French in Laguna Beach, California<\/a>, while Renee films the upcoming season of Only Murders in the Building in New York<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t A source claimed the Wheeler Dealers co-host had been residing in an apartment on French\u2019s property since he moved out of his rental in April.<\/p>\n But now, a representative for Ant has shut down the report.<\/p>\n \u2018Mr Anstead and Ms Zellweger are still together,\u2019 they told Page Six<\/a>, noting the pair \u2018remain in a cherished relationship that they ask to keep private\u2019.<\/p>\n The rep went on to explain that Ant has \u2018mostly\u2019 been working in the UK recently, so he spent some of his \u2018limited time\u2019 in Orange County at a pal\u2019s home because they have \u2018similar-aged children\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018His friend Jules has a separate, detached guest house, and the suggestion that their relationship is anything other than platonic is unacceptable and untrue,\u2019 they continued.<\/p>\n \u2018The suggestion that Mr Anstead is flirtatious is not true and is disrespectful to his four-year relationship.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t Speaking previously about getting together with Renee, Ant expressed his gratitude towards his TV series for bringing them together.<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019m really grateful to the show because these amazing things happen in your world, and sometimes when things collide, they collide at the most obscure times when you least expect them,\u2019 he told People.<\/p>\n \u2018And that\u2019s what happened in this case.\u2019<\/p>\n The outlet also claimed they hit it off instantly<\/a>, and the timing was \u2018right\u2019 for both of them.<\/p>\n In 2023, it was reported that the pair were looking to marry<\/a> and arranging a \u2018low-key\u2019 celebration. <\/p>\n However, a source later denied that they were engaged.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t As well as his son with TV personality Christina, Ant has a daughter, Amelie, and a son, Archie, with\u00a0his first wife, Louise.<\/p>\n In January, he took his older kids to the premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy<\/a>, showing his support for his girlfriend as she reprised the titular role one final time.<\/p>\n Taking to Instagram after the screening, Ant penned an adorable caption in which he couldn\u2019t help but fawn over his other half.<\/p>\n \u2018The Movie was absolutely utterly brilliant and the lead actress was mesmerising and smoking HOT (I have a mega crush on her!) I\u2019ve let the missus know she\u2019s my hall pass\u2026..
