After a second season at Manchester United that raised more questions than answers, Andre Onana has still managed to be shortlisted for a prestigious Premier League award.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a turbulent campaign for all concerned at Manchester United<\/a>. The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League<\/a> and reached the Europa League<\/a> final before losing to Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

The 2024\/25 campaign also brought managerial change to Old Trafford<\/a>. Erik ten Hag was dismissed<\/a> in October, and Ruben Amorim<\/a> was appointed as his successor in November.<\/p>\n

United continued to struggle as results worsened, though Amorim warned a storm would come after coming away from his first three games as United head coach<\/a> with two wins and a draw.<\/p>\n

Ineos<\/a> are expected to have a busy summer to rebuild United\u2019s first team<\/a> for future success under Amorim. That means many players face uncertain futures.<\/p>\n

United fans<\/a> should be happy to hear that, given the performances they\u2019ve had to endure in the league over the past two seasons.<\/p>\n

One player under the microscope at United due to under-par performances is Andre Onana<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cameroon international committed far too many errors leading to goals in his first season at the club, raising question marks over his future at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Onana completed a \u00a347.2m move to United from Inter Milan on a five-year deal back in 2023. That means the goalkeeper has three years left to run on his current contract.<\/p>\n

However, to shine some positivity on Onana\u2019s second season, which started brightly, he has been nominated twice for the Premier League Save of the Season<\/a> award.<\/p>\n

The top 10 saves across the campaign have been put forward for the award, with Onana being one of three goalkeepers with two nominations.<\/p>\n

Arsenal\u2019s David Raya and Bournemouth\u2019s Kepa Arrizabalaga were also nominated twice.<\/p>\n

The first of Onana\u2019s stand-out saves came in United\u2019s 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace<\/a> when he pulled off an incredible double save to deny Eddie Nketiah and Ismaila Sarr. It rightly won the Premier League\u2019s Save of the Month for September.<\/p>\n

Onana won that award again in November after denying United transfer target Liam Delap<\/a> following a one-on-one attempt at Portman Road.<\/p>\n
