The musician shared a touching map that was created by his father, Harold May, to memorialise the Queen II tour across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the illustration, the 77-year-old penned: \u201cMy Dad&#8217;s supportive handiwork for our first Queen tour of Europe&#8230; 1974!!! As honoured in Stockholm last night. Love to all &#8211; Bri.\u201d The beloved band\u2019s European tour consisted of ten shows in six countries which they performed over a two and a half week period. Thousands of his long-time fans flocked to the comments with support as one wrote: \u201cOh what a heartfelt map full of love for you, Sir!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A second remarked: \u201cWow!! What a treasure!! Can\u2019t you just picture him sitting there, drawing, coloring, marking the routes, all the time thinking proudly, \u2018That\u2019s MY boy!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another shared: \u201cI saw and crying, I didn\u2018t expect than I\u2018m a small girl at 1994 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/russia\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a>, my Papa brought me a CD The Works and told \u2018See, this is a good Music\u2019 then a couldn\u2018t explain my life without Queen music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat beautiful attention to detail your father gave to these maps and what a lovely tribute you gave to him last night. Inspiring word,\u201d remarked a fourth.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after Brian and Queen drummer Roger Taylor were awarded the 2025 Polar Music Prize at a gala ceremony held in Sweden on Tuesday (May 27).<\/p>\n<p>The musicians were honoured for their careers and contribution to music and accepting the award, Brian told the audience: \u201cIn this special moment, I contemplate how that younger Brian May in 1974 would have felt if he knew that we would be living this kind of dream 50 years in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roger recalled: \u201cWhen we started our band\u2026 we had ambitions, but never dreamed of the journey that was to follow. We were fortunate in the fact that our four wildly different personalities came together to achieve a wonderful chemistry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Polar Music Prize is exceptional in the fact that, unlike other awards, it recognises the entirety of an artist\u2019s career.
