Manchester City may not have had the best of seasons but there\u2019s plenty for fans to look forward to over the coming months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester City<\/a> are in Club World Cup action this summer and will be in the Champions League next season.<\/p>\n

In addition, the summer transfer window should see more top talents coming through the doors at the Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n

City have already got their rebuild under way, making a host of top signings in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak<\/a> has now spoken about two of their recent recruits that have really impressed him.<\/p>\n

Al Mubarak spoke to the City media team about the club\u2019s recent transfer activity and what they have in store for the summer.<\/p>\n

He praised Omar Marmoush<\/a>, calling him \u201cexcellent\u201d and admitting that he was a summer target, but the club felt they needed to move early.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think with Omar Marmoush, an excellent player, he\u2019s been on our radar for a little while,\u201d Al Mubarak said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would\u2019ve been a target for this summer, but the need was clear, he\u2019s made an immediate impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Al Mubarak then spoke highly of Abdukodir Khusanov<\/a>, who also joined City in the winter transfer window.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen you have Khusanov, he\u2019s a very, very talented central defender that we\u2019ve been watching for a while,\u201d said Al Mubarak.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, in the winter, he would\u2019ve been a player we\u2019d have made the move on this summer, but we needed to move early. <\/p>\n

\u201cKhusanov is the type of young, versatile and talented central defender who will fit in our group.\u201d<\/p>\n

Al Mubarak also praised fellow new signing Vitor Reis<\/a>, backing him to be a \u201ctremendous\u201d player for City.<\/p>\n

What pundits have been saying about Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush<\/p>\n

Roy Keane believes Khusanov will be fine<\/a>\u00a0after his tough start to life at\u00a0City amid reports claiming Khusanov had not trained for a month before his move<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This was said to be as a result of a winter break in France and then not being with Will Still\u2019s group as a transfer to Man City edged closer.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dion Dublin recently claimed Man City have been really impressed with Khusanov<\/a>\u00a0behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

As for the latter, Peter Crouch and Joe Cole both named Marmoush as their City player of the season<\/a>\u00a0for his heroics since joining the club in January.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Michael Owen suggested that Marmoush\u2019s rocket against Bournemouth was a Goal of the Season contender<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Owen said just after Marmoush\u2019s goal: \u201cI voted for my goal of the season yesterday. I\u2019m gutted we didn\u2019t delay it a couple of days as there might be another winner.\u201d<\/p>\n
