Peter Grant has urged Celtic<\/a> not to refrain from splashing a mega transfer fee on a top level striker – but look for a game-changer on a free transfer.<\/p>\n The Hoops failed in their bid to land a new frontman in the January window, despite pushing hard for Brondby’s \u00a314million-rated star Mathias Kvistgaarden.<\/p>\n After selling Kyogo<\/a> to Rennes for \u00a310million, Brendan Rodgers<\/a> only has one natural centre forward in Adam Idah at his disposal, although player of the season Daizen Maeda<\/a> has scored goals for fun when he has been played through the middle.<\/p>\n Irishman Rodgers insists the club will be doing everything they can to improve their squad ahead of next season.<\/p>\n And while admitting Celtic need to build from a position of strength with the wealth of resources available to them, Parkhead hero Grant has suggested an alternative approach in their search for a new striker.<\/p>\n Speaking on GO Radio, he said: “When you are at your strongest, that’s when you have to do your work.<\/p>\n “I have a bit of sympathy with the January window because I think strikers are so difficult to get in a window like that.<\/p>\n “They are doing well enough that Celtic are interested in them, but for the other club you are not going to sell them unless it’s crazy money.<\/p>\n “It’s the most difficult position, finding a striker. Celtic have probably been doing it for the last two years and looking (ahead) to the third and the fourth window.<\/p>\n “Who is going to be out of contract?
