According to a report from David Ornstein of The Athletic<\/a>, Liverpool FC<\/a> has started the bidding on Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz with a proposal to Die Werkself worth up to \u20ac130 million in fixed fees, plus bonuses: <\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> submit offer to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen worth up to \u20ac130m in total. This is an improved second bid + figure a top-end amount – comprising fixed fee & potential add-ons. 22yo #Bayer04 playmaker keen to join #LFC @TheAthleticFC<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bayer Leverkusen is rumored to want as much as \u20ac150 million for Wirtz. <\/p>\n

Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg<\/a> added further context, including the possibility of a Liverpool player being included in a deal: <\/p>\n

\u23f3 A new \u20ac125-130m offer from Liverpool for Florian #Wirtz has been submitted. However, there is still no total agreement with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Negotiations are ongoing.<\/p>\n

A prompt agreement remains the goal of both clubs. It is said to be just a matter of days now. There is also continued talk of a Liverpool player who could potentially be included in the deal. #LFC<\/p>\n

Wirtz is currently with the German national team in Herzogenaurach. Waiting for the green light to undergo his medical. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As things stand, a deal is fully expected to get done. <\/p>\n
