(WYMT) &#8211; Two people are facing drug trafficking charges in Laurel County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On May 28, Johnny Asher, 44, of Louisville, and Roberta Ann Benge, 49, of Manchester, were arrested on East 4th Street in London following a traffic stop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">During the stop, officers discovered a significant quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a smoking pipe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Asher has been charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense &#8211; methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Benge has been charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance (first-degree, first offense &#8211; methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Both Benge and Asher were taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WYMT.
