Former Bayern Munich<\/a> boss and current German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann is not mincing words \u2014 he wants to win the UEFA Nations League. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe goal is to win both games and win the Nations League title. We want to perform, deliver results and win titles, even though it\u2019s a \u2018small\u2019 title – for us as a group it\u2019s very important,\u201d Nagelsmann said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia<\/a>). \u201cSpain proved how important the Nations League can be when they won it before winning the Euros. When I look at the faces of our players, I see motivation and excitement. I\u2019m looking forward to the atmosphere in the stadium.\u201d<\/p>\n

One player who Nagelsmann will be counting on is Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, who is nearing his 100th cap.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a great captain, not just for what he does on the pitch – but also for the fact he\u2019s a role model for other players. He\u2019s very important for us and I\u2019m very happy for the decision to make him captain,\u201d Nagelsmann stated. <\/p>\n

In addition to Kimmich, Nagelsmann has thrown his support behind Marc-Andr\u00e9 ter Stegen, who will start in goal in the Nations League Final Four.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll be the #1. I\u2019m confident he\u2019ll have two top games. He\u2019s doing well in training, even though he hasn\u2019t played much,\u201d said Nagelsmann. \u201cI\u2019ve spoken with Hansi Flick \u2013 but certainly not about Barcelona\u2019s transfer plans. I\u2019ve read that he\u2019s a potential candidate for sale, but that\u2019s not my job.\u201d<\/p>\n
