It has been announced that the 49ers<\/a> have confirmed their takeover of Rangers, as Leeds<\/a> will have a new sister club.<\/p>\n

Rangers Football Club is pleased to announce that a consortium of investors, led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, has purchased a majority stake in the club, with approval from the Scottish FA. <\/p>\n

There have been talks for a while, as Paraag Marathe sees Rangers as a \u2018good investment\u2019<\/a> alongside their project with the Whites.<\/p>\n

With a new club now in their line of vision, fans might worry that Marathe<\/a> and the hierarchy\u2019s focus will shift towards the Scottish giants.<\/p>\n

Well, with the announcement made, it\u2019s now been revealed how Leeds will be affected by Marathe\u2019s plan at Rangers.<\/p>\n

A club like Rangers entering the frame is major news in terms of the 49ers\u2019 priorities.<\/p>\n

Fans think Marathe wants a multi-club model<\/a>, but there has been no suggestion that this will be the case.<\/p>\n

The ambition is clear though, and it could be a sign of things to come this summer, and the Whites faithful will hope the board still retain them as their full focus.<\/p>\n

Well now, the Yorkshire Evening Post have confirmed whether this is the case or if Rangers will cause a disruption with Leeds\u2019 project.<\/p>\n

The outlet states that Leeds having a new sister club will mean that the running of the two clubs will remain largely separate. <\/p>\n

Aside from standard industry information sharing and promoting strategy best practice, so on the whole, there is no change from Leeds\u2019 point of view.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear that after the developments north of the border, there will not be changes in the 49ers\u2019 investment at Elland Road.<\/p>\n

What the 49ers have said about their involvement with Leeds United previously<\/p>\n

This will please fans as it certainly looks like a promising time for the club under the 49ers\u2019 stewardship.<\/p>\n

Despite this however, Rangers and Leeds\u2019 budgets could be split<\/a>, showing there could be a slight impact with the changes.<\/p>\n

The takeover news got taken so seriously that even Daniel Farke was mooted for Rangers<\/a>, but that certainly won\u2019t be happening anytime soon.<\/p>\n

With the plans remaining untouched, what the 49ers said previously should give the Whites enough belief.<\/p>\n

In a statement by the 49ers\u2019 Global Football Group, a spokesperson said in April: \u201cThe strength of our commitment, resources, and ambition for Leeds United remains unchanged. We look forward to competing in the Premier League next season.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is music to Leeds fans\u2019 ears, and the only thing that will change is the 49ers\u2019 workload as they have two difficult tasks to take hold of now.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
