<\/p>\n Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married for 8 long years, having married in 2018. However, in the early stages of their fairytale romance, Harry allegedly cheated on Markle with model Sarah Ann Macklin. Royal author<\/a> Angela Levin spilled the details of their rumored affair in her work Harry: Conversations with the Prince. She claimed the two went on a few dates, though it turned out to be \u2018just a fling.\u2019<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Levin told the Daily Express<\/a>, \u201cDuring the very early stage of his relationship with Meghan, Harry was thought to have gone on dates with Burberry model Sarah Ann Jacklin. They met at a private party, he took her number and bombarded her with texts.”<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Levin added that their connection might have continued if their lifestyles hadn\u2019t been polar opposites. She penned, \u201cThey tried, although they were very different. She led a very healthy life and hardly drank. It was a matter where they were on a completely different wavelength.\u201d A friend of Macklin also told the Daily Mail<\/a>, \u201cThey were introduced at a social gathering and Harry made a beeline for her. She was very flattered by the attention, and they went on a few dates. Everything was kept very below the radar.\u201d<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n Despite Levin\u2019s claims, the Prince was smitten when he laid eyes on his future wife on their first date. In their engagement interview <\/a>with the BBC<\/a>, he shared, \u201cI was beautifully surprised when I walked into a room and there she was sitting there.\u201d He revealed that after they met in London for the first time, he managed to persuade her to join him in Botswana, where they camped out together ‘under the stars’ and enjoyed ‘five days together’. He added, \u201cWe were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure we had a chance to get to know each other.\u201d BBC reports that the couple returned the next year when Harry began designing the engagement ring<\/a>: at its center is a diamond from Botswana.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Harry isn’t the only one accused of infidelity; Markle has also been suspected of it. According to royal expert Tom Bower\u2019s book Revenge, she was still living with her ex Cory Vitiello when she was set up with Harry. The book also claims that two weeks after their first date, \u201cHarry secretly flew to Toronto. He stayed for about one week in the house of a friend of Meghan\u2019s, probably Jessica Mulroney.
