He said (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/sport\/35195109\/emi-martinez-man-utd-transfer-aston-villa-onana\/?utm_medium=Social&amp;utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&amp;utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1748674692\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Sun<\/a>): <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis summer is pivotal for Emi in terms of his career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been voted the best goalie in the world twice and there seems to be an opportunity for him this summer, with all of his options open.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBig clubs are queuing up to speak to him and he either stays at a massive club like Villa or he goes to a truly world-class club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s about money with Emi so I don\u2019t think he is ready to move to Saudi yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he does move it would be to a much bigger club \u2014 one of the really big-hitters like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico\u2026 or even Manchester United.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnited can\u2019t offer him Champions League football but the sheer size of the club and the size of the challenge might appeal to Emi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmi has the confidence required to play for a massive club like United and would feel he could affect the club in a really positive way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe would look at United and say: \u2018Right, I can make this place better. I can help this club get back to where it was.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s all about the challenge, he\u2019s all about the drive and the desire so I think United would suit him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe thrives on the biggest occasions and could play for any team in the world as he\u2019s shown by winning the World Cup and Copa America with Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe would be a comfortable fit at United and would hit the ground running.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emiliano Martinez would be a great signing for Man United<\/p>\n<p>With Amorim deciding to stay at United, a significant squad rebuild is expected with the Red Devils aiming for five new signings at least.  <\/p>\n<p>They are in desperate need of big characters in the dressing room who can influence the others around them.
