{"id":146959,"date":"2025-05-31T14:05:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-31T14:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/146959\/"},"modified":"2025-05-31T14:05:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T14:05:09","slug":"west-midlands-weather-met-office-forecasts-mild-night-as-meteorological-spring-ends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/146959\/","title":{"rendered":"West Midlands weather: Met Office forecasts mild night as meteorological spring ends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metoffice.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Met Office<\/a> weather map shows warm temperatures for the West Midlands today, the last day of meteorological spring.<\/p>\n<p>According to the forecaster, temperatures will reach 22\u00b0C in Coventry and Stratford-upon-Avon and 21\u00b0C in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/2025\/05\/28\/closure-order-granted-for-birmingham-shop-after-concern-from-residents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a>, Worcester and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shropshirestar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/bridgnorth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bridgnorth<\/a> today (Saturday, May 31). On Sunday (June 1) it is forecast to be slightly cooler, with expected temperatures of 18\u00b0C in Bridgnorth, Worcester and Evesham and 17\u00b0C in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shropshirestar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/telford\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telford<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/news\/2025\/05\/30\/speechless-wolverhamptons-own-star-of-song-and-stage-beverley-knight-bowled-over-by-theatres-grand-gesture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wolverhampton<\/a> and Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/c28f4fb2-c4d9-4c42-8e62-04ff49ef11bd.jpg\"   alt=\"Met Office West Midlands weather map May 31 2025.\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"w-full max-w-none\"\/>Met Office West Midlands weather map May 31 2025.Met Office\u2019s West Midlands five-day weather forecast<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 31 &#8211; night<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Plenty of sunshine to end the day, though cloud increasing from the west briefly overnight, perhaps giving a light shower. Clearer again, though turning breezy later. A mild night. Minimum temperature 10\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>June 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For many areas Sunday will be a dry and bright, though breezy and fresher feeling day. A few showers could break out though, especially in the north Maximum temperature 19\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>June 2 to June 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monday looks mostly dry and bright, with less of a breeze. Turning wet and windy from the west overnight. Sunshine and blustery showers developing on Tuesday. Showers easing on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>When does summer start?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meteorological summer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meteorological summer will always begin on June 1 and end on August 31.<\/p>\n<p>The meteorological seasons are four periods of the year made up of three months each.
