Amid King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, several royal experts have claimed that the Prince of Wales is likely to inherit the crown ‘sooner than anticipated.’

Article continues below advertisement

Royal expert Helena Chard recently spoke to Fox News Digital about William’s growing importance within the royal family. According to Geo News, she said, “Prince William’s role within the royal family is more prominent and influential than ever, as is his center stage position in diplomatic relations.” Chard also hailed William for staying ‘in tune’ with the public. She added, “Prince William’s most important role is that of dad and husband. However, he is paving the way to be King sooner than anticipated. He is in tune with the public and the younger generation. He realizes that to justify the existence of the royal family, the heaviest burden will soon fall at his feet. This weight always rests on the king or queen.”

Article continues below advertisement

In a similar vein, another expert, Jamie Bond, echoed that William is continuously making efforts to keep the monarchy relevant. She told Closer Weekly how William and Kate Middleton make the perfect team to take the monarchy forward. “I think they are completely united in doing all they can to keep the monarchy connected with the younger generation.” Bond addressed the couple’s modern approach and said, “They look modern, they act modern. They are extremely comfortable wearing jeans and trainers on public visits, sitting on the floor with school kids or kicking a ball around with youngsters.”

Article continues below advertisement

William has already begun receiving titles from his father. Earlier this month, he attended the Service of the Order of the Bath at Westminster Abbey and was named ‘Great Master of the Order.’ The title was once granted to his father, then-Prince Charles, by the late Queen Elizabeth in 1975. William, however, allegedly wasn’t too keen about the ceremony. A friend of the Prince claimed that William found the whole affair ‘ridiculous’ and far removed from his vision of a modern monarchy. He said, “This is exactly the kind of medieval cosplay William thinks is ridiculous. He understands and respects tradition, but this kind of event is hardly telegraphing a monarchy which is modern and relevant.”

Article continues below advertisement

It is believed that William will break away from his father’s legacy when he’s King. Experts have also suggested that he may banish his uncle, Prince Andrew, given the shame he brought to the family. Hilary Fordwich recently told the publication how William “is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future.” She asserted, “Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back.” Similarly, experts believe that William may also not invite his younger brother, Prince Harry, to his coronation ceremony.

Source: Getty Images | Max Mumby Prince William and King Charles walk behind Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin as…

[7708
7709,7730,7731,7716,1760,1501,7710,519
0":"post-147319","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-charles","10":"tag-charles-iii","11":"tag-heirs-spares","12":"tag-king-charles","13":"tag-latest-news","14":"tag-royal-families","15":"tag-royal-family
["GET
