Police search officers from the operational support unit (OSU) can be seen working in and outside the properties, in images shared by worried residents.<\/p>\n

One resident, named only as Andrew, told us: “There is now 3 OSU (operational support units) on site and 5-6 police cars.<\/p>\n
“It’s hard to say what’s happened, but from what I can see, there is a white man in an upstairs room, and there is a lot of movement inside both houses on Redditch Road.<\/p>\n
“Police and ambulance staff are inside one downstairs, the 3rd OSU just left on blues, but a fourth has pulled up now. No firearms police are on site as of yet.”<\/p>\n
Other locals took to social media to try and find out what had happened.<\/p>\n
Writing on Facebook, one person said: “What\u2019s happened on Redditch Road opposite the pub? Police, fire and ambulances???”<\/p>\n
In response, someone wrote: “There’s got to be something serious going on with the amount of police there.”<\/p>\n
Another added: “No idea but police in riot gear with ladders and everything.”<\/p>\n
It is unclear whether or not emergency crews remain at the scene at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
