TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Leeds United have set their sights on several No. 10s this summer, including one who is open to a move to Elland Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United<\/a> have a busy summer on the transfer front as they look to turn their squad into a unit capable of surviving in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Whites are likely to overhaul their squad \u2013 goalkeepers, left-backs, midfielders and forwards are all said to be in Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> sights.<\/p>\n

TBR Football<\/strong> has the latest on the No. 10 options available to Leeds this summer, including the most likely option for the Elland Road outfit.<\/p>\n

TBR Football<\/strong> chief correspondent Graeme Bailey<\/a> can confirm that Leeds have held talks over a possible deal for Aston Villa<\/a> playmaker Emiliano Buendia<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Whites have also made enquiries about Galatasaray ace Gabriel Sara and Sheffield United\u2019s Gustavo Hamer, as they are determined to get themselves a new No. 10.<\/p>\n

Bailey exclusively told TBR Football<\/strong> about Buendia: \u201cI am told he is open to the Leeds move, Farke knows him and he trusts Farke.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeeds want this No. 10 and they have options. They really like Hamer too and have done work on Sara \u2013 but at this point I think Buendia is the most likely.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Daniel Farke and Xabi Alonso have said about Emi Buendia<\/p>\n

Buendia made 121 appearances under Farke at Norwich City, registering 24 goals and 41 assists in all competitions.<\/p>\n

When Norwich sold Buendia to Aston Villa for \u00a333million, Farke sang his praises in two Championship title-winning campaigns and in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cA fantastic player but there are times when you also have to accept the big wish of the player to have this type of move,\u201d he said, as per Pinkun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou cannot praise Emi enough. That is for sure. <\/p>\n

\u201cTwice a title winner at Championship level and he played a key role in the best season in Norwich\u2019s history, with so many goals and assists. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut also his workload and pressing was outstanding last season.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Leeds were keen on signing Buendia a year ago, but Villa didn\u2019t want to let him go and the player didn\u2019t fancy returning to the Championship.<\/p>\n

When asked about Buendia, Farke told\u00a0Leeds Live<\/a> in January 2025: \u201cI don\u2019t speak about any other player under contract at another club. <\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, I\u2019ve worked with him for many years, I really rate him. I don\u2019t comment on players on other clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now mostly surplus to requirements at Villa, Buendia sealed a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen in January, where he made 14 appearances and registered two goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was always ready to play,\u201d former Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso said in April, as per the Birmingham Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n
