A brand new physical retail edition of The Last of Us<\/a> is on the way.<\/p>\n

That’s according to a new report from reliable gaming leaker billbil-kun, via Dealabs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Apparently, a physical release of a “special edition of a game in The Last of Us franchise” is heading to stores in the future.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, billbil-kun has yet to determine exactly what this game is; while weighing up that it could be some new version of The Last of Us: Part I or Part II<\/a>, the leaker suggests it could also be a double pack containing the two games together.<\/p>\n

When you consider the price \u2014 $109.99 or \u20ac119.99, according to the report \u2014 that latter possibility makes a lot of sense to us, or maybe it’s some sort of newfangled collector’s edition.<\/p>\n

The report concludes by saying official word on whatever this is will likely come soon, “within two months”.<\/p>\n

With HBO’s The Last of Us season two<\/a> very nearly here, it makes sense for Sony to push the games yet again, taking advantage of all the newly generated buzz from the TV show.<\/p>\n
