MEDIATEK kicked off its Computex 2025 showcase with a focus on artificial intelligence technologies spanning edge and cloud computing.<\/p>\n
Under the theme “AI for Everyone: From Edge to Cloud,” the company introduced its latest developments across connectivity, computing, and multimedia.<\/p>\n
In his keynote address, Dr. Rick Tsai, vice chairman and CEO of MediaTek, highlighted the role of AI, 6G, and hybrid computing in digital transformation.<\/p>\n
“We are looking forward to highlighting MediaTek’s long-standing expertise in connectivity, computing, and multimedia products and technologies,” said Joe Chen, president and chief operating officer.<\/p>\n

By signing up with an email address, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Terms of Service<\/a> and Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Hybrid AI, connected MediaTek introduced a concept device \u2014 the 5G Generative AI Gateway \u2014 that merges its fixed wireless access platform with on-device generative AI.<\/p>\n The hybrid model, already tested with a telecom infrastructure partner, earned a Best Choice Award at the event.<\/p>\n The device aims to deliver high performance, low latency, and stronger privacy.<\/p>\n A smart home demonstration showcased AI agents connecting various devices through an “AI Hub.”<\/p>\n In collaboration with Nvidia, MediaTek also presented an “edge cloud” solution that integrates Radio Access Network nodes and device-based computing.<\/p>\n The approach targets low-latency environments and more secure, agent-based AI operations.<\/p>\n Partnerships in Cloud AIMediaTek is working with Nvidia to power the DGX Spark desktop AI system, built with the Grace Blackwell Superchip.<\/p>\n The chip is designed to run AI models with up to 200 billion parameters locally, supporting developers with a compact and powerful system.<\/p>\n The company also outlined advances in custom ASIC solutions for data centers, highlighting its design of AI accelerators and support for high-speed networking.<\/p>\n These chips feature advanced packaging and high-bandwidth memory integration.AI in automotive, IoTMediaTek’s Dimensity Auto platform supports next-generation automotive features, combining 5G and AI for in-vehicle assistants and entertainment.<\/p>\n The Dimensity Auto Cockpit C-X1 chipset includes support for 8K HDR video, Dolby Atmos sound, and AI voice interaction.<\/p>\n The MT2739 chip adds dual-SIM 5G, intelligent driving scene recognition, and network optimization features.<\/p>\n A demo of a 5G-enabled emergency call system was also presented.In IoT, MediaTek’s Genio platform supports smart homes, industrial robotics, and retail applications.<\/p>\n Genio’s development toolkit includes Nvidia TAO for model training and supports Android, Yocto Linux, and Ubuntu.
