Liverpool<\/a> have made a lightning-quick start to the summer transfer window, announcing the permanent signing of Jeremie Frimpong and submitting a nine-figure offer for Florian Wirtz. Reds bosses have also bid farewell to academy product Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>, who is on his way to Real Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But even with so much boxed off, Anfield is still a hive of transfer activity which is set to see plenty more incomings and outgoings before the start of next season. There is a lot to keep on top of, so here, Express Sport brings you three of the latest Liverpool<\/a> transfer developments…<\/p>\n

Florian Wirtz guarantee<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arne Slot<\/a> has guaranteed Wirtz ‘sole ownership’ of the No. 10 role at Liverpool<\/a>, according to Bild<\/a>. The message from the Liverpool<\/a> boss is said to have played a vital role in Wirtz favouring the Reds over Bayern Munich, who also went to great lengths to try and sign him.<\/p>\n

Under Bayern boss Vincent Kompany, the German international would have been forced to share the attacking midfield berth with Jamal Musiala. Since Wirtz gave his green light to Liverpool<\/a>, all that’s left is for the club to agree a fee with Bayer Leverkusen.<\/p>\n

\u00a317m Trent fee<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a> is poised to receive a monumental signing-on bonus for joining Real Madrid. The full-back is heading to the Spanish capital on a free transfer, although Los Blancos are paying Liverpool<\/a> \u00a38.4million to sign him up in time for the Club World Cup.<\/p>\n

They are also forking out a pretty penny to Alexander-Arnold himself, with a fee worth just under \u00a317m on its way into his bank account, according to Mundo Deportivo<\/a>. Real get their Club World Cup campaign underway against Al-Hilal on June 18.<\/p>\n

Hugo Ekitike twist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz should bring extra bite to Liverpool<\/a>‘s attack but the club are also thought to be pursuing a new centre-forward. And their search is once again situated in the Bundesliga, where Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike has emerged as a prominent target.<\/p>\n

Liverpool<\/a> had been embroiled in a multi-horse race for the 22-year-old, who finished the season with 15 league goals. The Reds, Chelsea<\/a> and Arsenal<\/a> were the three main contenders from England, but in a fresh twist, Bild<\/a> claim that Arsenal<\/a> are no longer in contention.
