David Beckham believes Manchester United’s players are not representing the club well away from the pitch.<\/p>\n
United won 2-0 against Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League<\/a> campaign and headed to Manchester Airport<\/a> immediately after the game for two exhibition matches in Asia.<\/p>\n Ruben Amorim oversaw friendlies in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. There was no curfew for the players<\/a> during the post-season tour and Beckham believes United’s standards have slipped away from the pitch.<\/p>\n Aljenandro Garnacho and Amad were both pictured flipping their middle finger in contrasting circumstances on the tour, and Beckham has suggested the players behaved poorly.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tough times. I don\u2019t like seeing some of things that are going on at the club,\u201d Beckham told CBS Sports.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cOn the pitch is what counts but in all honesty I\u2019m seeing a lot of things that are not ok in my eyes as a fan and as a lover of Man United. You have to represent the badge. That\u2019s what it is about. I\u2019ve seen a lot of things where players are not acting in the right manner.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were a part of a team that was so well-mannered. We understood what it meant to play for Manchester United<\/a>. We understood what the badge meant.<\/p>\n \u201cWherever we travelled, whether it was in Europe or in Asia, we respected the fans. We respected the fact that they were turning up, paying money and wanting you to sign and take pictures.
