Amiri immediately became one of Mainz\u2019s most important players and played a key role as Mainz shocked everyone to compete for Champions League<\/a> football and eventually end up in the Conference League. Furthermore, Amiri\u2019s exploits did not go unnoticed by Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann, who decided to call up the 28-year-old to the Germany squad for the first time in his career during the March international break and hand him his debut.<\/p>\n Nor was this a one off.
