Glasgow Green<\/a>, proceeded\u00a0through the city centre along a planned route that includes Saltmarket, Trongate, Glassford Street, Ingram Street, Queen Street, and St Vincent Place.<\/p>\nThe event was intended to raise awareness of the violence, exploitation, and suffering endured by animals across various industries, including food production, scientific testing, and entertainment.<\/p>\n
In a statement, ALS said the march aims to: \u201cEducate the public about the horrors of violence, mutilation, and murder of innocent mothers, babies, families, and friends in our non-human animal kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some attendees also walked along the street with a massive banner.<\/p>\n
The event follows a similar demonstration held last June.<\/p>\n
Dianne Hendry, founder of Animal Liberation Scotland, explained the motivation behind the march\u00a0to the Glasgow Times last year.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cPeople are disconnected from animals. A piglet and a puppy are both innocent, yet we love one and pay someone to kill the other.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this march, we want to change people\u2019s perception and raise awareness to stop the needless violence to non-human animals.\u201d<\/p>\n
