An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged after a car was discovered in the River Clyde<\/a> in Glasgow.<\/p>\n The male driver allegedly failed to stop for police on Law Street in the east end of the city. Police confirmed the car was later seen in the River Clyde<\/a>, reports Glasgow Live.<\/a><\/p>\n Images from the scene show the car sinking bonnet first into the river. Other pictures show police<\/a> response, with at least four cars and officers running close to the river.<\/p>\n Two men – believed to have been in the car – were found nearby shortly afterwards. Police say neither of them went into the water and no one else was inside the motor when it took the plunge. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n The 18-year-old driver was charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court<\/a> on Monday, June 2.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland <\/a>spokesperson said: \u201cAround 9pm on Saturday, 31 May, 2025, a vehicle failed to stop for officers on Law Street, Glasgow. Following enquiries, the car was later seen within the River Clyde<\/a> and the two male occupants were traced nearby a short time later.<\/p>\n \u201cThey had not been in the water and there is not believed to have been anyone else within the vehicle when it entered the water.
