Many became personal friends.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yes the bridge is a real pain when it\u2019s unavailable sometimes for hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But that\u2019s just swinging bridge life and those of us that live locally will get used to it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So goodbye from all the Renfrew to Yoker staff, it certainly is the end of an era, we will see you around.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social media<\/a> users rushed online to have their say on yesterday&#8217;s news.<\/p>\n<p>One wrote: &#8220;Well done for keeping it going for so long.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another added: &#8220;That&#8217;s a shame.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A third wrote: &#8220;Very sorry to hear this!
