Celtic and Rangers matches have always brought out high drama, entertainment value, and characters like never before. <\/strong><\/p>\n

One of them who stood above many was Celtic\u2019s legendary captain, Scott Brown<\/a>, and his ability to wind up everyone at any given moment. <\/p>\n

On top of Brown winning trophy after trophy<\/a> in Glasgow, guiding the club to Trebles, and becoming one of the best midfielders Scotland has ever produced, he did it by making sure steam was coming out of the opponents\u2019 ears.<\/p>\n

Nobody fell for it more than former Rangers player, El Hadji Diouf, including his famous moment in the Glasgow derby when coming against Brown. <\/p>\n

That iconic \u2018Broony\u2019 moment occurred in 2011, and the man himself spoke about it. <\/p>\n

Fans today might see Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham pull his arms out wide and above his head, but Brown did it way before the England midfielder even became a professional. <\/p>\n

Diouf was an outspoken player, and after Celtic<\/a> faced Rangers in the Scottish Cup fifth round replay at Parkhead, Brown<\/a> scored and proceeded to do that celebration.<\/p>\n

Brown explained how he got \u2018booked\u2019 for that moment, but that\u2019s the one booking, in his whole career, that he just \u2018didn\u2019t deserve\u2019, as he told the Let Me Be Frank Podcast. <\/p>\n

\u201cI got booked for that,\u201d said Brown. \u201cHonestly. That\u2019s probably the only booking I didn\u2019t deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frank McAvennie then stated: \u201cI remember, you were having a just before it, and when you scored, that\u2019s what you done (the celebration).\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown then added: \u201cWe were having a go all season, to be fair. It was every game, then, was he still there that season afterwards? I can\u2019t remember how long he was there. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut it was actually quite good banter. I liked somebody who gave me something back.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

How many times did Brown get booked and sent off in his career?<\/p>\n

Brown represented three clubs<\/a> during his career, starting at Hibernian in 2002, before sealing a move to Celtic in 2007.<\/p>\n

That led to Brown having a trophy-laden career<\/a> in Paradise before he left in 2021 and spent a small period of time at Aberdeen, including scoring at Ibrox.<\/p>\n
