Manchester United have finalised an agreement to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Matheus Cunha.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> Premier League season ended last Sunday, as Ruben Amorim\u2019s<\/a> side beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United players were not able to take an immediate break, though, as a post-season trip to Asia brought friendlies against the ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Those games are now out of the way, and with June upon us, the attention turns to the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Al-Hilal want Bruno Fernandes<\/a> and the captain\u2019s future could shape United\u2019s summer window.<\/p>\n

Amorim already has a new face secured, though, with United confirming an agreement to sign Matheus Cunha<\/a> from Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n

United will pay Cunha\u2019s \u00a362.5million release clause<\/a>, with Ineos agreeing to pay that fee in three instalments.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian\u2019s deal isn\u2019t absolutely rubber-stamped, with United still waiting on a visa and international clearance.<\/p>\n

Cunha is effectively a United player now, though, and he can begin to look forward to life at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports<\/a> now report that United have been chasing Cunha for a long time, going back to one specific game.<\/p>\n

United beat Wolves 1-0 at Old Trafford<\/a> to kick off the 2023-24 season, with Raphael Varane scoring the only goal of the game.<\/p>\n

Cunha seemingly impressed United and has been a wanted man at Old Trafford ever since that performance.<\/p>\n

Cunha recorded three dribbles, two interceptions, one key pass and one shot on target as Wolves gave United some real trouble.<\/p>\n

The former Atletico Madrid man has taken his game to another level since then, leaving United absolutely convinced about paying his release clause.<\/p>\n

United impressed by Matheus Cunha stance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sky Sports<\/a> add that United have been \u2018impressed\u2019 with Cunha\u2019s desire to join the club.<\/p>\n

United lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, meaning there will be no Champions League football next season \u2013 and no European football at all, for that matter.<\/p>\n

Many players would have been put off in that situation, but Cunha made it clear that he would join United no matter what.<\/p>\n

United loved that commitment from Cunha and will hope to see him thrive under Amorim moving forward.<\/p>\n
