South Wales Police are in attendance after a ‘serious collision’ in Rhondda(Image: Googlemaps )<\/p>\n

A main road through the south Wales valleys has been closed off after a collision. Police are in attendance at the incident in Wattstown, Rhondda Fach after the crash occured early Sunday evening, June 1.<\/p>\n

The road concerned will be shut for some time according to South Wales Police and it is the main road through Wattstown rather than the nearby bypass (the A4233).<\/p>\n

Motorists will not be able to access Wattstown via Aberllechau Road from the Travis Perkins roundabout and the road is closed in both directions.<\/p>\n

South Wales Police<\/a> shared on their RCT Facebook<\/a> group that the road through the lower end of Rhondda<\/a> Fach was closed.<\/p>\n

It reads: “We’re at the scene of a serious collision on Aberllechau Road, Wattstown, Porth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The road is currently closed in both directions from Travis Perkins roundabout.<\/p>\n

“It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We’re grateful for your patience.”<\/p>\n
