The son of late conservationist Steve Irwin is the Global Ambassador for William’s Earthshot Prize\u00a0<\/p>\n
Robert Irwin has nothing but praise for his conservationist collaborator Prince William.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking to Us Weekly ahead of the Steve Irwin Gala in May, the 21-year-old wildlife warrior opened up about teaming up with the Prince of Wales on environmental efforts, calling it \u201can incredible synergy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI think Prince William has been such an amazing person to work with,\u201d Irwin, 21, said in the interview published Sunday, June 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s wonderful that someone so influential\u2026 is using that to really better our environment,\u201d he added, calling William \u201ca true environmental hero.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
In 2024, Irwin, the son of late Australian conservationist Steve Irwin, was named a Global Ambassador for Prince William\u2019s Earthshot Prize. The initiative supports groundbreaking environmental solutions across five key categories, including climate repair and nature preservation.<\/p>\n
Irwin has not only championed the project publicly but also attended its Singapore ceremony and continues to push its mission worldwide.<\/p>\n
Irwin added that he and the future king have become close allies in the cause.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve definitely compared a lot of notes in the conservation space,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd plus, he\u2019s just a great guy. When you have a conversation with him, he\u2019s the most lovely, intelligent person to talk to and is just so easygoing, so much fun.\u201d <\/p>\n
