While Prince Harry<\/a> and Prince William<\/a> may no longer be on talking terms anymore, there was a time when the brothers shared a very close bond. During their early adulthood years as senior full-time working royals, the brothers would often step out on royal engagements together, often accompanied by Princess Kate after she married William, 42, in 2011.<\/p>\n

Although some may think this would be awkward for Harry, 40, who was unmarried at the time, this was not the case, as he always got on with his sister-in-law<\/a> until quitting royal life in 2020. In Spare, Harry shared some of his first meetings with Kate, showing his true feelings in one three-word description.<\/p>\n

Recalling how he felt about her during the early days of knowing her, Harry said: “She was carefree, sweet, kind.”<\/p>\n

He then said that she had a good personality and a \u201csilly side\u201d, claiming that he felt she was the sister he had never had.<\/p>\n

The prince also said that Kate, 43, was a good match for his brother.<\/p>\n

While Harry may have once been close to his sister-in-law, this has not been the case for the past five years.<\/p>\n

Since quitting royal life with his wife Meghan Markle<\/a>, 43, in 2020 and moving to America, the prince has experienced increasingly fractured relationships with his brother, sister-in-law, and other royal relatives.<\/p>\n

The rifts are believed to have been made worse as a result of the actions taken by the duke and Meghan, including their Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, their tell-all Netflix<\/a> docuseries in 2022, followed by Harry\u2019s bombshell memoir in 2023.<\/p>\n

It is believed Harry is no longer on talking terms with William or Kate,<\/a> and has not seen them during recent visits to the UK.<\/p>\n

The duke is also reportedly experiencing a strain in the relationship with his father King Charles, 76, with Harry recently telling the BBC<\/a> that the monarch \u201cwon\u2019t speak\u201d to him.<\/a><\/p>\n
