Lopez Apologizes to Turki<\/strong><\/p>\n Yesterday, Teofimo (22-1, 13 KOs) publicly apologized to Turki Alalshikh on X for the offensive remarks he\u2019d made about him on social media, calling him a \u201cDICKTator.\u201d There hasn\u2019t been a reply from Turki yet. If Teo can patch things up with Turki, he may not need De La Hoya. He can make big money fighting on Alalshikh\u2019s Riyadh Season cards against the likes of Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia.<\/p>\n Homophobic Remarks Cross Line<\/strong><\/p>\n With some of the comments that Lopez made about Turki, it\u2019s doubtful that his apology will be accepted. He crossed the line with the homophobic stuff.<\/p>\n Teofimo didn\u2019t look particularly impressive defending against Arnold Barboza Jr. on the May 2nd Times Square card in New York. He won the fight by a 12-round unanimous decision against Barboza Jr, but it was a lot of boring movement.
