Good Morning Britain<\/a> was interrupted for an update about an attack in Colorado. Ed Balls<\/a> and Susanna Reid<\/a> hosted Monday’s (June 2) instalment of the programme and were joined by Marverine Cole, who delivered the rest of the day’s news. During her report, Marverine issued a further update on the man behind a horrifying attack in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The rampage saw six victims, aged between 67 and 88, rushed to hospital after a man named Mohamed Sabry Soliman used a \u201cmakeshift flamethrower\u201d and hurled \u201can incendiary device\u201d into a crowd, according to the FBI. As Marverine began, a “breaking news” banner appeared on the screen. “A man has been arrested following an attack that left six people with burns in the US city of Boulder, Colorado overnight,” she said. “People had gathered for a rally in support of Israeli hostages when the suspect threw firebombs into the crowd, according to the FBI.”<\/p>\n

The ITV presenter revealed the incident is being treated as a terror attack.<\/p>\n

Footage of a press conference was then shown, featuring FBI special agent Mark Michalek sharing details about the attack.<\/p>\n

“This attack happened at a regularly scheduled, peaceful event,” Michalek said. “Witnesses are reporting that the subject used a makeshift flamethrower and threw the incendiary device into the crowd.”<\/p>\n

He added: “The suspect was heard to yell ‘Free Palestine’ during the attack.”<\/p>\n

Colorado authorities are determined to impose the full force of the law on the individual responsible for a suspected hate-driven assault, where Jewish demonstrators were targeted with a Molotov cocktail.<\/p>\n

At a press briefing, District Attorney Michael Dougherty declared: “In the coming days decisions will be made about what charges to file and where, there’s a couple of different options. But what I would stress now is that we are fully united 100% in making sure the charges we bring hold the attacker fully accountable.”<\/p>\n

Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, posted on X: \u201cTerrorism against Jews does not stop at the Gaza border \u2013 it is already burning the streets of America. Today, in Boulder, Colorado, Jewish people marched with a moral and humane demand: to return the hostages.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn response, the Jewish protesters were brutally attacked, with an attacker throwing a Molotov cocktail at them.<\/p>\n

\u201cMake no mistake \u2013 this is not a political protest, this is terrorism. The time for statements is over.
