Since its release in 2009, Party In The USA has wound up becoming one of Miley Cyrus\u2019 signature songs.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a fan of Miley \u2013 or pop music in general \u2013 you might already be aware that the song was actually written by another big-name star from that era, Jessie J.<\/p>\n

But what you might not know is that the Domino singer originally wrote Party In The USA with the intention of singing it herself, before it became a hit for the former Disney star.<\/p>\n

And because of Jessie being a Brit, her version of Party In The USA had a few different lyrics to the version we know and love today.<\/p>\n

Jessie J in 2011, two years after Party In The USA was released by Miley Cyrus via Associated Press<\/p>\n

During a recent interview on the podcast Songs You Know<\/a>, Jessie recalled how her version of Party In The USA\u2019s lyrics were:<\/p>\n

Hopped off the plane at LAX with my tea and my cardigan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome to the land of fame and sex, am I gonna fit in?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jumped in the cab and the driver\u2019s on the left side, look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh my days there\u2019s Macy\u2019s, everybody seems so crazy<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, Miley\u2019s rewritten version goes:<\/p>\n

Hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome to the land of fame excess, am I gonna fit in?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jumped in the cab here I am for the first time, look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cSo, it was my experience of going to LA for the first time,\u201d Jessie told host Toby Gad.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut obviously, when [Miley] wanted it, I was like, \u2018yeah, great\u2019. I wasn\u2019t attached [to it] \u2013 there\u2019s only a few songs that I\u2019m attached to. But I just knew that she would make that song something more special than I ever could, and she did.\u201d<\/p>\n
