The Maggie May hitmaker is currently performing his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace casino \u2013 but confessed that ill health has forced him to cancel his latest show.<\/p>\n<p>In a short statement shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/instagram\" data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|AutoLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a> and X, formerly Twitter, Rod wrote: \u201cI am sorry to inform you that I\u2019m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date. Sir Rod.\u201d Fans quickly rushed to respond to the update, with one writing: \u201cSo sorry to hear. Please feel better and get well soon. I don\u2019t have a ticket and can\u2019t afford one and you\u2019re not close enough for me to see you in concert. But I do love your music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another echoed: \u201cSending prayers your way brother.\u201d While a third said: \u201cHope you\u2019re okay sir.\u201d Another social media user posted: \u201cGod bless you\u2026 hope you\u2019re feeling better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others were left \u201cgutted\u201d by the news, with one echoing: \u201cHope you feel better soon, travelled from the UK especially to see the show tonight. Gutted is an understatement. Going home in two days so can\u2019t make the rescheduled date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rod has been open about his health battles over the years, having been diagnosed with cancer twice in his life. In May 2000 he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and forced to undergo surgery on his throat \u2013 meaning he had to re-learn how to sing afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>Then in 2017 Rod was diagnosed with prostate cancer, thankfully receiving the all-clear after a treatment regime. But he refused to tell his kids about the diagnosis at the time as he \u201cdidn\u2019t want to worry them\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s in good shape currently, and wants to beat the world record for an 80-year-old running a 100 metre sprint \u2013 training on a private track on the land of his home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sir Rod Stewart has issued a worrying announcement to fans who quickly flocked to support him.
