He just fits how Ruben Amorim wants to play perfectly. A centre-forward and a central midfielder should be next. An experienced No. 9, I’d be advising the transfer team to get an experienced No. 9 next.”

Ruben Amorim has already answered Rio Ferdinand’s worries

It goes without saying that Ferdinand is absolutely correct in his assertion of Frimpong being ideal for Amorim’s system.

However, there shouldn’t be any panic upon losing him because Amorim has already laid out United’s transfer plans clearly.

The Man Utd manager has repeatedly stressed that not everything can be changed in a single transfer window, especially after failure to qualify for Europe.

United will prioritise and fill positions of urgent need first, and right wing-back is certainly not one of those at the moment.

Not only does Amad look great there, but Diogo Dalot is a solid, if slightly underwhelming option to play there, with Noussair Mazraoui’s Swiss-army knife skills also valuable.

That is in stark contrast to having just Rasmus Hojlund as the senior striker, or a lack of goals from midfield, issues United are addressing on priority.

United can’t let other clubs’ transfer business prompt them into making panic moves.

Manchester United’s transfer window is off to a hot start but according to Rio Ferdinand, they’ve already lost…

[10
18519,15038,99,79,16,15
0":"post-151904","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sports","8":"tag-jeremie-frimpong","9":"tag-rio-ferdinand","10":"tag-ruben-amorim","11":"tag-sports","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
