{"id":152137,"date":"2025-06-02T12:58:11","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/152137\/"},"modified":"2025-06-02T12:58:11","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:58:11","slug":"lewis-hamilton-doubts-ferrari-will-find-answer-for-spain-struggles-probably-just-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/152137\/","title":{"rendered":"Lewis Hamilton doubts Ferrari will find answer for Spain struggles: \u2018Probably just me\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Lewis Hamilton was incredibly downbeat after a difficult <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">F1<\/a> Spanish Grand Prix, admitting he\u2019s doubtful Ferrari will find answers for his lack of pace.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton endured another difficult weekend in Barcelona, finishing sixth.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The seven-time world champion was forced to move over for teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/racer\/889402\/charles-leclerc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charles Leclerc<\/a> after team orders from Ferrari.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After the Safety Car, Hamilton struggled for pace, losing out to Sauber\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/racer\/10\/nico-h-lkenberg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nico Hulkenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It was another abject performance from Hamilton, who\u2019s often excelled at the Spanish circuit over the years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton has only beaten Leclerc once on race day this year, finishing ahead at Imola.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Speaking to Sky Sports after the race on Sunday, Hamilton gave a series of short answers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cNot particularly, it\u2019s just not a great day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When asked about the strategy, having complained initially over team radio, he said: \u201cStrategy was good, team did a great job. That\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton is the highest-placed driver in the F1 championship standings without a podium finish.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Conversely, teammate Charles Leclerc scored his third podium of the year after overtaking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/f1\/racer\/852\/max-verstappen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max Verstappen<\/a> in the closing laps.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The interviewer then said to Hamilton: \u201cI hate seeing you in this mood\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton responded: \u201cWhat do you want to say? I just had a really bad day and I\u2019ve got nothing to say.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt was a difficult day, there\u2019s nothing else to add to it, it was terrible. There\u2019s no point explaining it, it\u2019s not your fault, I just don\u2019t know what else to say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hamilton also expressed doubts over whether Ferrari had an explanation as to why he was so slow in the race.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Since then, team boss Frederic Vasseur has hinted that Hamilton was nursing an issue throughout the race.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI\u2019m sure they won\u2019t.
