Prince Harry<\/a> and his wife, Meghan Markle<\/a>, left the UK for good in 2021 with their children in what was dubbed “Megxit” by critics. The move was intended to separate them from being working members of the Royal Family<\/a> and embark on a new destiny of being “financially independent” from the British monarchy. However, Talk TV star Samara Gill launched a fiery attack on the Sussexes’ “fight for freedom” and claims they are now “surrendering” to the demands of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

Just weeks ago, Prince Harry<\/a> appeared on BBC<\/a> News to share how he wanted to make peace with his father, King Charles III, who he claimed “would not speak to him”. Samara shared she believes the duo who were once set to create a “cultural reckoning” have now dialled back their ambitions, and in the process, their “sparkle has dulled”.<\/p>\n

It comes as Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, has left consumers baffled after products sold out within 45 minutes of its official launch on April 2, but have now remained out of stock for nearly two months.<\/p>\n

Samara said of the move: “Pressing pause on her barely-launched lifestyle brand As Ever, isn\u2019t a strategy. It\u2019s a white flag. After all the Oprah bombshells, Netflix<\/a> docuseries, Spotify meltdowns, and soft-focus monologues about healing, we\u2019re left with a few jars of honey and the emptiness of unrealised potential…maybe.<\/p>\n

She continued: “This wasn\u2019t supposed to be the plan. Meghan once positioned herself as a woman on a mission, part Diana, part Beyonc\u00e9, part tech entrepreneur. But without the royal machinery behind her, the sparkle has dulled. The headlines have cooled. And the influence? Evaporated.”<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex’s range, which included a pricey \u00a310.80 raspberry jam, honey and herbal teas, generated immediate demand but has failed to replenish stock since the initial sell-out.<\/p>\n

It’s not just Meghan that Samara has an issue with, as she proceeded to criticise her husband, Prince Harry<\/a>, who she claimed “has now become the world\u2019s most famous plus-one” after his memoir, Spare, made waves in both sales and press coverage.<\/p>\n

Since releasing the book, however, Harry has failed to recreate that success, with his Netflix<\/a> series, The Heart Of Invictus, failing to win over viewers, with it getting only a 3.7 rating on Google and one reviewer at the Telegraph labelling it “a mess”.<\/p>\n

Samara said of the pair’s noticeable decline in public admiration: “Without the institution they loathe but once defined them, neither seems able to build something with staying power. The royals gave them relevance.
