In a rented mansion in Montecito, California<\/a>, Meghan Markle filmed her cooking show, With Love, Meghan, which has since been slammed by critics, with one expert complaining the Duchess of Sussex has little personality. The Netflix<\/a> series saw Meghan making candles, spaghetti dishes, and putting together bath salts with her friends<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Sun’s Royal Exclusive<\/a> show, broadcaster Esther Krakue, stated: “There’s nothing there. She’s very, like – I’m not saying this to be horrible – she is not an entertainer or an entertaining person. There’s not much personality there.”<\/p>\n

She added: “I never learn anything from her. I love lifestyle shows. I watch them every day. I don’t learn anything. I didn’t learn anything from hers. And she’s just not entertaining.”<\/p>\n

Meghan’s show, which briefly made it into the Netflix Top 10 shows after airing<\/a>, was further criticised by the broadcaster. She said: “She’s not a fun person to be around. You don’t think this is the person I want to go to the pub with to have a pint with.”<\/p>\n

Further commenting on her presenting skills, she said: “She doesn’t have the energy of a host. I don’t think. She’s very kind of drab and boring. It was clear from the first episode that this is, the way she sees herself and who she actually is are quite different.”<\/p>\n

The Netflix<\/a> series has been renewed for a second series, airing in the autumn<\/a>. Meghan announced the news on Instagram<\/a> stories, revealing a sports cap with the phrase “lettuce, romaine, calm” as she attempted to dance and show her excitement in the video.<\/p>\n

However, the MailOnline<\/a> reports Netflix<\/a> CEO Ted Sarandos is said to be in full support of the Duchess of Sussex. A source said: “What people do not understand about the situation is that [Netflix<\/a> CEO] Ted Sarandos is a massive, massive fan of Meghan personally.”<\/p>\n

The eight-part series showed an intimate look into the Duchess of Sussex\u2019s favourite pastimes, from healthy cooking and hosting tips to tending her personal beehive. Since the show’s launch, Meghan has further shown her love for her new beekeeping pasttime, showing herself and daughter, Princess Lilibet, attending to the hives.<\/p>\n

While many were hoping for a peek inside the Montecito mansion Meghan shares with Prince Harry<\/a> and their children, Prince Archie<\/a> and Princess Lilibet<\/a>, the couple chose to protect their family\u2019s privacy by filming in a nearby $8 million (\u00a36.5 million) rental property.<\/p>\n

The show is being seen as a make-or-break moment for the Sussexes, who signed a multimillion-pound deal with Netflix<\/a> in 2020. Among celebrities that feature in the show are Meghan\u2019s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, her makeup artist and friend Daniel Martin, and American actress Mindy Kaling.<\/a><\/p>\n
