Welcome to The Bazaar Itinerary<\/strong>, where the world’s most stylish people give us insights, information, and insider recommendations on where to go, stay, eat, shop, and play in their favorite destinations around the globe. <\/p>\n

London is really the most multi-cultural, multi-stylish, and multi-cuisine-led city in the world! I love walking around and hearing a multitude of international languages, everywhere, every day.<\/p>\n

The best time to go is in mid to late July when it\u2019s usually at its hottest\u2014although global warming has totally messed even that up! If you want to stay in the center of things, try West London or East London, but if you prefer a location that\u2019s off the beaten path, it\u2019s got to be Hampstead for its fantastic heath. Wherever you stay, you can get around by bus or tube (preferably the former from the top deck). <\/p>\n

For a quick bite, I like Towpath Cafe<\/a> in De Beauvoir Town, East London, or Cafe Cecilia<\/a>, Max Rocha’s restaurant in Dalston. Or go to Goodbye Horses<\/a> in Islington for great drinks and oxtail rice. Akub<\/a> in Notting Hill Gate might be my favorite restaurant. Delicious Palestinian cuisine in a buzzing atmosphere\u2014if you can get a table! And Kiku<\/a> is a fantastic Japanese restaurant on Half Moon Street (sit upstairs at the bar).<\/p>\n

Aries Bakehouse<\/a> in Brixton does amazing bread, cakes, and pastries for breakfast, and Maison Fran\u00e7ois<\/a> on Duke St, Saint James is good for a laid-back lunch. Get the poulet roti or Bavette steak and the green house salad with its delicious secret dressing. And the house smash burger on a brioche bun at Supernova<\/a> Burger is beyond\u2014as is the queue that often surrounds this tiny, recently-opened joint. <\/p>\n

For drinks, go to Duke\u2019s Bar<\/a> in St James’s for life-saving vodka martinis made by Allesandro Palazzi and his fantastic team. For breakfast and people-watching, you can\u2019t beat Fridays at Lisboa Cafe<\/a> on Golborne Rd. Sit outside.<\/p>\n

\"tenderbooks\"<\/p>\n

When I need to relax, I\u2019ll often find myself searching for out-of-print or recent art books and magazines at Tenderbooks<\/a>, my favorite bookshop in London, and flipping through racks of vintage vinyl (Afrobeat, jazz, soul, reggae, hiphop and Bossa Nova) at Honest Jon<\/a>\u2019<\/a>s Records on Portobello Road. If that fails, a long walk in Regents Park does the trick.<\/p>\n

To see great art, try Alison Jacques<\/a> and Sadie Coles<\/a> galleries in Mayfair, or Kate MacGarry<\/a> gallery in Shoreditch. If you\u2019d prefer a bigger institution, I love Barbican Art Gallery<\/a>, Autograph<\/a>, the Courtauld Gallery<\/a>, the Serpentine Galleries<\/a>, or the Photographers Gallery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For shopping, try Rellik Vintage<\/a>, which thankfully now stocks a very small but great selection of vintage menswear. Also Speciale324<\/a> for shirts, knits and bespoke tailoring. I did a shirt collaboration with them a few years ago. I like Spazio Leoni<\/a> for curated antiques, and Peter Jones<\/a> on Sloane Square for their fantastic kitchen and bedding departments.<\/p>\n
