On <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/wallet\/answer\/12060039#zippy=%2Cwhy-can-i-no-longer-link-my-paypal-account-to-google-wallet%2Cwhat-happens-with-my-paypal-transaction-history-after-my-linked-account-gets-deleted-in-google-wallet%2Cwhat-happens-if-i-have-a-pending-transaction-made-right-before-my-linked-paypal-account-is-deleted%2Conce-my-linked-paypal-account-is-deleted-from-google-wallet-how-can-i-request-a-refund-for-a-purchase-i-made-in-store-with-paypal%2Chow-can-i-continue-using-paypal-in-google-wallet-after-my-linked-paypal-account-is-deleted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a help center page<\/a> spotted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/paypal-killing-google-wallet-integration-3563325\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by Android Authority<\/a>, Google says it will stop supporting the payment method and automatically delete linked PayPal accounts on June 13th, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The company has also stopped letting users link PayPal accounts to Wallet as of April 11th. Now, users who previously relied on PayPal to quickly connect their payment methods with Google Wallet will have to manually add a credit card, debit card, or bank information if they want to keep using the app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Google notes that it will still accept PayPal-branded debit cards. \u201cTo deliver smart, flexible, and more rewarding ways to pay, PayPal constantly improves their offerings,\u201d Google writes in a FAQ, while referring users to an email sent by PayPal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Verge reached out to PayPal with a request for more information but didn\u2019t immediately hear back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">If you use a linked PayPal account for recurring payments, Google says you\u2019ll need to change your payment method on the merchant\u2019s website to keep using the service. Google Wallet will also no longer display your PayPal transaction history, which you\u2019ll now have to view on PayPal\u2019s website or app. Google Wallet\u2019s PayPal integration will still work for users in Germany.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Google Wallet will soon no longer let you pay with your PayPal account in the US.
