Manchester United had the foresight to include a sell-on clause.<\/p>\n<p>Real Madrid are very keen on a deal to re-sign the player they lost to Manchester United\u2019s academy in 2020, and the Red Devils could land a big windfall.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United\u2019s Fernandez funds moves closer, thanks to Samuel Dahl<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United could earn between \u00a317-20 million from the sell-on clause for Alvaro Fernandez, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/how-much-man-united-are-set-to-earn-from-real-madrids-42m-alvaro-fernandez-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Real Madrid set to pay in excess of \u00a340 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That will be a welcome cash boost for Manchester United, and this has moved a step closer.<\/p>\n<p>Benfica have struck an agreement to sign Fernandez\u2019s replacement, snapping up left-back Samuel Dahl.<\/p>\n<p>Fabrizio Romano reports Benfica have agreed a deal for \u00a37 million to sign Dahl from Roma, providing them with cover for Fernandez\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n<p>Dahl spent the second half of last season on loan at Benfica, following the path Fernandez took in 2024 before becoming a starter.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8\ud83e\udd85 EXCL: Benfica and Roma reach agreement for permanent transfer of Samuel Dahl.<\/p>\n<p>Final documents done, \u20ac9m transfer fee and 4 year contract signed with the player back in January. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/N1ss2DS8HV\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/N1ss2DS8HV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/1929550567145156821?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">June 2, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>View Tweet<\/p>\n<p> Manchester United need cash boost<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United need the additional funds to bolster the club\u2019s summer spending plans.<\/p>\n<p>With a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/matheus-cunha-to-manchester-united-confirmed-as-wolverhampton-wanderers-star-becomes-first-summer-signing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deal for Matheus Cunha already agreed<\/a>, United are now attempting to do a deal for Brentford\u2019s Bryan Mbeumo.<\/p>\n<p>These two deals will essentially wipe out United\u2019s transfer budget, leaving the club reliant on player sales.<\/p>\n<p>United are in a strong position, with  Marcus Rashford, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho all likely to bring in fees, along with potential sales of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund. <\/p>\n<p>An extra \u00a320 million via Alvaro Fernandez\u2019s sell-on clause would do nicely.
