{"id":153724,"date":"2025-06-03T03:01:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T03:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/153724\/"},"modified":"2025-06-03T03:01:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T03:01:10","slug":"tom-cruise-would-have-scared-us-more-than-brad-pitt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/153724\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Cruise &#8220;would have scared us more&#8221; than Brad Pitt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Director Joseph Kosinski has claimed that Tom Cruise would have &#8220;scared them a little bit more&#8221; than Brad Pitt if he had a role in the upcoming F1 movie, as he &#8220;always pushes to the limit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kosinski&#8217;s long-standing relationship with Cruise led many to link the American actor to the upcoming Formula 1 film. Their collaboration began in 2013 with science fiction thriller,\u00a0Oblivion, and the pair worked together again on Top Gun: Maverick, released in 2022 as the sequel to the 1986 hit movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On top of Kosinski&#8217;s history with Cruise, the Hollywood icon has also previously worked with Jerry Bruckheimer, who is the producer of F1. Bruckheimer worked with Cruise on both Top Gun films as well as Days of Thunder in 1990.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite the history with the actor, Academy Award-winning actor Brad Pitt took the lead role of Sonny Hayes in F1, who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/lewis-hamilton\/1278\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a>, serving as an executive producer in the film, branded as a &#8220;racer at heart.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most interesting thing about Brad\u00a0is that he\u2019s already a bit of a racer at heart,&#8221; Hamilton told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/making-of-the-f1-movie-brad-pitt-lewis-hamilton-damson-idris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GQ<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in the same interview with GQ, Kosinski discussed how the film would have been different if Cruise had portrayed Hayes. He explained:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTom always pushes it to the limit, but at the same time is super capable and very skilled. They both have the natural talent for driving. Tom pushes it to the limit. I mean\u00a0really\u00a0to the limit. That terrifies me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I mean, I\u2019ve done loads of\u00a0Mission: Impossibles with Tom and it\u2019s the most stressful experience for someone like me building cars for him, doing stunts with him.
